Childrens Area Childrens' Play Area

Yours and your child's comfort are important to us. Please take advantage of the books, games, and toys in our childrens' play area when you visit our home. Feel free to allow them to gather in the east hall while you attend your gathering and we invite you to join in the play or be seated nearby with little ones who need to be close to you. Magazines and other reading materials and refreshments are made available to help pass the time pleasantly.

Childrens Area Childrens' Coloring Book

Rolands also has free coloring books written by Amy Jo Roland and illustrated by Natalina Groves entitled "There's A Tear In My Rootbeer." It is designed to familiarize children with the life processes of illness, passing, and celebrations of life. It is available in Spanish. To see the coloring book's Parents' Page click here.

Luncheons

More and more families are choosing the convenience and comfortable atmosphere of dessert coffees and luncheons in our facility. Seating is cushioned; background music plays; and candle light and table cloths lend ambiance to the settings.

The staff at Rolands is honored to assist your families in ordering or catering serviced foods for lunches and coffees or teas. Families, friends and church committees who wish to help serve are welcome to use our kitchen facilities.

Roland's reception areas seat 150. Parties of over 100 can be seated in the partitioned north main chapel and 50 in the stair-accessible lower level public lounge.

Childrens Area Grief Support

At no charge, Roland Funeral Home offers local grief support to comfort those families who have utilized our services as well as to all others in the area who have this interest.

Rolands' uses GriefShare resources, a Christian scriptural based help for it's users to journey together "From Mourning to Joy." Buffy Jo Barrs (daughter of Warren and Amy Jo Roland) and Mary Hoegh join them in guiding the weekly series. Those who attend the gatherings weekly view DVD's by grief counsel experts and testimonials of those who have found direction, relief and strength from the stresses of death loss.
